Itinerant & Related Services

SPEED provides itinerant and related services to students in SPEED programs and students with special needs in Member District programs. Itinerant are delivered by personnel who are assigned to a number of different schools and program locations.  A continuum of services from monitoring specific skills to direct intervention are provided based on students' needs as determined by the specialist and IEP team. Consultation services may also be provided to assist staff and/or families.

IEP services provided to students in their home schools, such as OT, PT Speech and Language along with specialized instruction for students who are deaf and hard of hearing or visually impaired are also coordinated and billed through District Services.

Professional Learning Communities for SPEED related services providers such as Nurses, Social Workers, Psychologists, Itinerant Teachers, and Therapists are coordinated through this department as well.
